Photographer captures Aurora Borealis in the form of a fierce dragon
The dazzling phenomenon of Northern Lights is not only loved but worshipped by many photographers in the world, as its photographs come out to be absolutely spectacular every single time. However, we bet that Aurora Borealis has never been photographed quite like the way that photographers Jingyi Zhang and Wang Zheng have. Zhang, a jewelry design student and the photographer who won the prestigious Astronomy Photographer of the Year competition was on a vacation with her mother in Iceland when the duo noticed that the Northern Lights have actually taken up the form of a green-fire-spitting-dragon. Their photographer instincts made them capture this brilliant moment on the Icelandic sky and gave us one of the most fascinating photographs of Aurora Borealis.
NASA selected this photograph as Astronomy Picture of the Day and even passed a remarkable comment on it saying, “This iconic display was so enthralling that the photographer’s mother ran out to see it and was captured in the foreground.”
